In medium format cameras with an image format of 6×6 cm, a normal focal length would be 85mm.
In large format cameras are used as regular lenses of 105mm focal length for 6x9cm formats (diagonal = 10.8 cm) focal length to be slightly angular 9x12cm format.
Similarly, in digital cameras you have to take into account the diagonal of the image sensor, regardless of the number of pixels. (See: Multiplication factor of the focal length).
