Opening
A term referring to the opening of the diaphragm, located inside the camera lens. The diaphragm controls the amount of light reaching the image sensor, as its opening larger or smaller. Aperture can automatically set it can control the camera or the photographer using the manual mode or in aperture priority.
Manual opening
Although most digital cameras incorporate a system of automatic exposure and aperture, the aperture control can, in some models, manually. This allows the user to decide how much light hits the image sensor.
