The first batteries are available with a factor set of the form, most commonly AA, CR2, or CR-V3, AAA batteries with a handful of cameras. Batteries CR2 and CR-V3 lithium are, and planned but not reusable. It is also commonly seen in camcorders. AA batteries are far more common, but non-rechargeable alkaline batteries are capable of providing enough energy for a very short time in most cameras. Most of the nickel hydride battery AA consumer use (NiMH battery) (see also chargers and batteries) instead, which provide an adequate amount of energy and are rechargeable. NIMH batteries do not provide as much energy as lithium ion batteries, and also tend to download when they are used. They are available in varying degrees Ah (Ah) or milli-ampere-hour (mAh), which affects how long it takes to operate. Consumer models typically midrange and some low end cameras use batteries available, only very few cameras a DSLR accept them (for example, Sigma SD10). The rechargeable lithium-ion RCR-V3 is also available as an alternative for non-rechargeable CR-V3.
